What is the oldest yacht club in the USA?

I have heard several YC's claim to be the oldest in USA including the New York Yacht Club (Newport RI), Boston Yacht Club (Marblehead, MA), American yacht Club (Newburyport, MA). Anyone know for sure? Just curious.

2. Tha Narragansett Yacht Club, in Providence, Rhode Island was established in 1838. I think that's the one.
