*&* Block ?
so I filed with the above and my return was suppose to be around 3000. Married filing jointly w/ child 2 yrs old. We get the refund 140?? But with fees its 40. So I'm guessing he didn't add our kid on. So our next step would be amended. Their suppose to be professionals what happen? What are we suppose to do? 3000 is from our client copy I did the math and it looks like he forgot to add the EIC. I don't know how this happened? What can we do about the situation? Besides file an amended?

- You went to the "people" as they say. personally, i have done my own taxes and am licensed with the irs to professionally do others also, and you really need to go back the "block" and bring this to their attention. Either someone didn't do their job or someone owes back taxes or student loans or childsupport. Never the less, you won't know unless you ask and you really need to ask exactly what went on, where did my money go, and tell them to explain everything to you in detail because so many block and jackson hewitt employees don't go far enough to explain to their customers exactly what is what. Hope you all the best and good luck.
- Did you look at your copy of the return and see if your child is there? Where did the $3000 refund number come from, is that what they told you when you had your taxes prepared? Go back and ask them what happened. If they made an error, they should file the amendment to fix it at no extra cost to you. If it was because of some info you didn't give them, they'll charge you for an amendment.
- That tax preparer made a mistake. Get that return amended pronto! And get your money back from that Tax Service too.
- go back to them and ask the office manager to review the return. if they made a mistake they will file an amended return for you at no charge.
